POSITION ON TEAM
Lead/Senior Product Designer | Conceptual Design | Visual Designer | User Experience

Directed visual re-design for PS4 features including "What's New" social feed, "Live Detail" game page, Rich Profile and a system-wide "refresh" of key visual design elements across four scrum teams. I oversaw seven design updates across four different product offerings in close collaboration with stakeholders and scrum teams.

Initiated weekly design and prototype critiques to drive innovation and discussions around motion design.

MY PART (within the redesign)
- Process improvement:  aligned creative methods across
2 design teams introducing user centric, lean and
collaborative methods including quick low fidelity
prototyping and concept design.
- Responsible for visual design output as well as oversee
the design vision.
- Worked with cross-functional teams for UX and
Prototyping.

Problem: We needed to figure out a way to allow users to create profile and background images for a community they're setting up while using the PlayStation controller.

Solution: Users can select images from their Capture Gallery and crop specific areas of the image they want to use. The left analogue stick moves the crop area around the image while the right analogue stick zooms in and out.

DELIVERABLES
Design Mockups - Deliverable 7

The prototyping phase begins by first designing mocks (in Sketch) which are guided by my storyboard. Over time the mocks increase in fidelity until they cleanly convey what I'm trying to solve. Once I'm content and can walk through each screen understanding each transition, I'll load screens into the prototyping tool of choice.

Build a Clickable Prototype - Deliverable 8

I've used prototyping tools in Sketch, Anima, InVision Studio, Principle, Google Sheets and Keynote. I'm not attached to any particular prototyping tool because I choose the tool that solves the problem best. If I'm looking to test an animating interaction, I'll go to InVision Studio or Principle. If I'm looking for a very quick prototype with minimal interactions, I'll resort to Sketch Prototype, Google Sheets or Keynote.

RESULTS of 04 Prototype

Over the course of time, I produced multiple prototypes that helped validate our design decisions.
