Iron Link Intel — case exhibit

Iron Link Intel

A defense-grade OSINT intelligence platform — built for environments where a missed signal is a mission failure, not a missed SLA. I lead brand and product design: the "Architecture of Certainty" identity and the unified investigation terminal that replaces a fragmented, twelve-tab analyst stack. It is the one engagement where my UX heuristic method became a shipped product. The work is confidential; everything shown here is drawn from the platform's public marketing site.

01

THE BRIEF

When every second counts, uncertainty is a vulnerability.

Iron Link Intel turns fragmented global signal — SOCMINT, dark web, biometric, criminal, and financial data — into reproducible, court-ready intelligence. The design brief sat on top of that: make a classified-grade platform legible enough that analysts trust it under pressure, and give a defense product a brand that reads as certainty, not theater. I lead brand and product across the marketing surface and the operator-facing terminal.

02

THE MECHANISM

Complexity is a vulnerability.

Intelligence tools fail the same way: signal is buried in noise, the stack is fragmented across a dozen surfaces, and the output isn't defensible when it matters. When the consequential signal isn't legible and reproducible, an analyst either drowns in noise or acts on false confidence — and in this domain both are mission failures. The product had to collapse the workflow into a single operational cycle: ingest, correlate, report.

  • Ingest

    • Connect a target
    • Pull 200+ sources simultaneously
    • SOCMINT, dark web, biometric, financial
  • Correlate

    • Map identity nodes across all data
    • Flag contradictions automatically
    • Surface the 1% of signals that matter
  • Report

    • Evidence-first briefs
    • Full chain of custody
    • Court-ready, one-click export
  • Investigations: the twelve-tab stack collapsed into one triage surface — pinned cases, tier badges, facet filters. Rebuilt to spec; synthetic data.
  • RFI pipeline: requests move through visible stages with SLA countdowns — no more black-hole requests. Rebuilt to spec; synthetic data.

Operating model: Ingest → Correlate → Report (public)

03

THE METHOD

UX heuristics: score the signal, retire the noise.

My UX heuristic method audits a product the way an analyst audits a source — is this signal strong, reproducible, and defensible? Iron Link Intel is the one engagement where that method stopped being an audit and became the product itself. I ran a Nielsen heuristic evaluation across every operator surface and scored each one against the same question: does this make the consequential signal legible, or does it add noise? The dashboards averaged 47 — "data vomit," cognitive overload, dead-end charts. The rebuild is built to the spec that targets the high 80s — pulling a twelve-tab stack into one terminal and pulling a defense brand back from spectacle to certainty.

THE DESIGN RESPONSE

One identity, one terminal, every signal.

This is where the work lives. On brand: "The Architecture of Certainty" — a voice that reads forged-by-defense, optimized-by-intelligence, with the restraint a classified buyer expects. On product: the unified investigation terminal that replaces the fragmented stack — overview, identity finder, SOCMINT search, threat monitor, dark web index, and evidence reports on a single surface, with risk heatmaps, live indexing, and confidence scoring built into the operator's line of sight. The public marketing homepage carries that same system out to the buyer.

  • I ran a full identity correlation on a hard target in 11 minutes — what used to take my team three days and four separate tools.
  • Command Center: confidence scoring and a live feed sit in the operator's line of sight. Rebuilt to spec; synthetic data.
  • Identity Graph: master–detail keeps the subject pinned while the network resolves; mismatches auto-flag. Rebuilt to spec; synthetic data.
  • Threat Monitor: a bento with one focal threat and semantic color — red is reserved for live alerts only. Rebuilt to spec; synthetic data.

05

THE OUTCOME

A live platform built for people who can't be wrong.

The brand and product ship as one system: a public marketing site that earns the demo, and an operator terminal that earns the analyst's trust. The platform is in active deployment and publicly states it is trusted by the U.S. Department of War. The internals — real investigation data, the operator dashboards, the full scope of work — are confidential and omitted here by design.

  • Next

    • Deepen confidence scoring across the operator surface
    • Extend the evidence-first report system
    • Harden role and clearance-tier access patterns
  • Confidential

    • Operator dashboards and investigation data withheld

  • Settings: scattered toggles regrouped into Identity / System / Preferences, and made searchable. Rebuilt to spec; synthetic data.
